La ensalada griega propiamente dicha no existe en Grecia. Es como el arroz cantonés de Cantón (ver receta AQUÍ). Pero siempre hay una ensalada en la mesa con al menos queso feta y tomate, y para ellos es sólo una ensalada. Después, puedes añadirle lo que quieras. Lo importante, por supuesto (como en todas las recetas) es utilizar verduras buenas y maduras. Para mantener la ensalada fresca, coloco las verduras en la nevera durante al menos una o dos horas antes de prepararla (ya que se tarda 5 minutos en total). Con sólo sal, pimienta y un buen aceite de oliva, es un plato fresco, colorido y súper sabroso.
Para 6 personas :
una docena de tomates maduros
2 pimientos verdes
1 pepino
1 cebolla roja
un buen puñado de aceitunas (negras o moradas de Kalamata)
500 g de queso feta fresco
sal, pimienta, aceite de oliva
Lavar y cortar las verduras, pimientos, tomates, etc.
Lo mismo ocurre con las cebollas rojas. ¡He vuelto a cortar la imagen!
Poner todo en un recipiente grande y mezclar bien.
Añadir sal y un poco de aceite de oliva a las verduras. Mezclar bien y verter en platos o en una fuente grande. Colocar el queso feta y aplastarlo entre las manos para romperlo.
Salpimentar generosamente y colocar las aceitunas.
Rociar con aceite de oliva.
¡Está listo! Sólo os muestro la foto cuando estoy mezclando justo antes de comer, pero ¡sirve bien la ensalada sin hacerlo! Por eso os enseño cómo queda, ¡porque es mucho menos bonito para la presentación!
