Esta receta la tengo en mente desde hace tiempo. Me llevó un tiempo desarrollarlo. Tuve que ir de un lado a otro varias veces para encontrar la dosis que funcionara sin hornear. Hace más de 15 años solía comer barritas de cereales similares en Londres, se llamaban «barritas de cacahuete gigantes». ¡Estaba completamente loco por ello! Se parece mucho a una especie de flapjack. La receta de mis flapjack la publiqué al principio de mi blog, puedes encontrar la receta AQUÍ. Esta receta es bastante diferente en cuanto a sabor y textura y, lo más importante, ¡no hay que hornear! Todo lo que necesitas es una sartén para preparar este saludable tentempié para ti o para tus hijos. Me encanta la avena, así que aquí hay una nueva forma de hacerla.
Receta de «Barras de cacahuete gigantes»:
-100g de margarina «especial para cocinar» -75g de aceite de colza -100g de azúcar moreno -30g de azúcar -50g de sirope de agave -15g de agua -1 cucharadita de vainilla líquida -2 pizcas de sal -360g de avena Quaker (¡porque se cuece rápidamente!) -65g de puré de cacahuetes -40g de semillas de girasol -chispas de chocolate
Poner en un cazo los azúcares, el sirope de agave, el aceite, el agua, la vainilla, la sal y la margarina.
Calentar a fuego lento para fundir los azúcares y la margarina.
Añade la harina de avena.
Sin dejar de remover, dejar que se caliente a fuego lento hasta que los copos parezcan cocidos (ya no se distinguen realmente). Esto puede tardar entre 7 y 8 minutos. De hecho, se cocina como una papilla, por lo que no es necesario hornearla.
Añadir el puré de cacahuetes fuera del fuego.
Remover bien y calentar durante dos o tres minutos a fuego lento.
Añadir las semillas de girasol.
Verter en un molde cuadrado de 20X20cm forrado con papel de horno.
Envasar bien y alisar con el dorso de una cuchara. Espolvorear con semillas de girasol.
Añade los trozos de chocolate por encima.
Con el calor de la masa, los nuggets se derretirán lo justo y se pegarán.
Dejar enfriar y guardar en un lugar fresco para que se endurezca por completo , lo que permitirá cortar la masa con mayor facilidad.
Corte en el formato elegido. Aquí, corté por la mitad, y luego cada mitad en cuatro.
Distribuir a los niños rabiosos o a los estómagos hambrientos. Estas barritas de cereales pueden conservarse durante mucho tiempo en film transparente. Nada se estropea rápidamente: ni huevos, ni nata, ni mantequilla…
