Esta receita tem estado na minha mente há algum tempo. Demorei algum tempo a desenvolvê-lo. Tive de voltar e avançar algumas vezes para encontrar a dosagem que funciona sem cozer. Eu costumava comer barras de cereais semelhantes em Londres há mais de 15 anos, eram chamadas “barras de amendoim gigantes”. Eu era completamente louco por isso! Parece-se muito com uma espécie de flapjack. Publiquei a minha receita de flapjack logo no início do meu blog, podem encontrar a receita AQUI. Esta receita é bastante diferente em sabor e textura e, mais importante ainda, não há cozedura envolvida! Tudo o que precisa é de uma frigideira para fazer este lanche saudável para si ou para os seus filhos. Adoro papas de aveia, por isso aqui está uma nova forma de o fazer.
Receita para “Barras gigantes de amendoim”:
-100g de margarina de “cozinha especial -75g de óleo de colza -100g de açúcar mascavado -30g de açúcar -50g de xarope de agave -15g de água -1 colher de chá de baunilha líquida -2 pitadas de sal -360g de aveia Quaker (porque cozinham rapidamente!) -65g puré de amendoim -40g de sementes de girassol -chocolate em pedaços
Colocar os açúcares, xarope de agave, óleo, água, baunilha, sal e margarina numa caçarola.
Aqueça em lume brando para derreter os açúcares e margarinas.
Acrescentar a farinha de aveia.
Enquanto se mexe, deixar aquecer em lume brando até os flocos parecerem cozinhados (já não são distinguíveis realmente). Isto pode demorar 7-8 minutos. De facto, cozinha como mingau, e é por isso que não precisa de o cozer.
Acrescentar o puré de amendoim do calor.
Mexer bem e aquecer durante dois ou três minutos em lume brando.
Acrescentar as sementes de girassol.
Verter para uma forma quadrada de 20X20cm revestida com papel vegetal.
Embalar bem e suavemente com a parte de trás de uma colher de sopa. Polvilhar com sementes de girassol.
Acrescentar os pedaços de chocolate por cima.
Com o calor da massa, as pepitas vão derreter o suficiente e colar.
Deixar arrefecer e depois armazenar num local fresco para endurecer completamente, o que permitirá que a massa seja cortada mais facilmente.
Corte no formato escolhido. Aqui, corto ao meio, depois cada metade em quatro.
Distribuir a crianças raivosas ou a estômagos famintos. Estas barras de cereais podem ser armazenadas por um longo período de tempo em película aderente. Nada corre mal rapidamente: sem ovos, sem natas, sem manteiga…
