Dernièrement je n’ai pas eu beaucoup de temps pour cuisiner, mais comme je tiens à vous poster de nouvelles recettes, j’en ai profité pour mettre au point des recettes qui fonctionnent vite et bien. Après les craquants aux amandes et café et les shortbreads au gingembre, je vous propose ma recette de scones au chocolat. J’aime beaucoup ces énormes scones (qui ne sont pas d’authentiques scones anglais) que l’on trouve aux États-Unis. En trois minutes la recette sera prête pour un résultat croustillant et délicieux! L’intérêt de la recette vient d’un ingrédient particulier… Avec le froid qui revient, c’est le moment de se rassurer avec des choses qui sentent bon le chocolat cuit! J’ai maintenant un peu plus de temps pour moi, je vais donc vite vous proposer des recettes plus élaborées. Restez connectés sur mon blog de cuisine! Dans cette recette, je ne mets pas de crème ni de lait fermenté, mais du jus d’orange! Cela va donner une belle couleur aux scones et va apporter un goût délicieux avec le chocolat. Bien sûr, que l’on se rassure, il y a quand même une bonne dose de beurre!
Mettre la farine, le beurre froid coupé en morceaux, le sel, le sucre et la levure chimique dans un bol.
Bien mélanger pour obtenir un mélange sableux. C’est plus facile avec le « K » du kitchenaid ou du kenwood.
Ajouter le jus d’orange en une fois.
Puis mélanger juste pour homogénéiser sans insister.
Ajouter les pépites de chocolat.
Bien mélanger de nouveau. C’est prêt!
Faire une boule de pâte puis aplatir en un disque épais de 18-20cm. Mettre au frais pendant 1 heure pour permettre la découpe de la pâte et la séparation en tranches. Préchauffer le four à 180°C.
Séparer les tranches et les poser sur un papier sulfurisé. Saupoudrer les scones de sucre.
Cuire pendant 25 à 30 minutes en surveillant. Les scones doivent être bien dorés!
Déguster chaud avec un thé, un café ou un chocolat chaud sous une grosse couette!
