Os biscoitos curtos são bolos escoceses. Uma receita muito fácil de preparar. 1 2 3, estas são as proporções. Mas acima de tudo, muita manteiga com sal! Estas bolachas são estaladiças e derretem-se na boca. Para ser desfrutado sem restrições…!
A receita original dos pães curtos era baseada em farinha de aveia. Foi provavelmente isto que lhes deu o seu nome. Porque “shortbread” não significa “pães curtos”, mas sim “crumbly cakes”, “short” foi do inglês antigo para que significa “crumbly”! Mas hoje em dia são mais conhecidos com farinha e a adição (como na minha receita) de amido. Podem ser-lhes dada a forma que quiserem. Os mais comuns são em forma de rectângulo e redondos.
Receita de “Shortbreads” para 25 biscoitos:
-100g de açúcar de confeiteiro
-200g de manteiga muito mole salgada
-200g de farinha (ou 300g se decidir não utilizar amido)
-100g de fécula de batata
Pré-aquecer o forno a 180°C.
Ponha a manteiga muito macia numa tigela grande. Acrescentar o açúcar de confeiteiro.
Misturar bem.
Acrescentar a farinha e a fécula de batata.
Misture bem e traga a massa para uma bola.
Colocar a bola sobre uma folha de papel vegetal.
Estender a massa até uma espessura de 1 centímetro e colocá-la sobre um tabuleiro de ir ao forno.Recortar rectângulos regulares de cerca de 5cm por 1,5cm. Picar a superfície dos rectângulos com a ponta de uma tesoura afiada.
Cozer os pães curtos durante 12-13 minutos. Os bolos devem permanecer brancos. Deixar secar num suporte. Armazenar os bolos numa caixa hermética.
