يجب أن تعلم أن الوصفة الأصلية الحقيقية للخبز الصغير كانت مصنوعة من دقيق الشوفان. ربما هذا ما أعطاهم اسمهم. لأن “الغريبة” لا تعني “أرغفة قصيرة” ، بل كعكات متفتتة ، “قصيرة” كانت اللغة الإنجليزية القديمة يعني “متفتت”! لكنهم اليوم معروفون بالدقيق وإضافة النشا (كما في وصفتي). يمكنك منحهم أي شكل تريده. الأكثر شيوعا كونها في شكل مستطيل و دائري.
وصفة “شورتبريدس” لـ 25 بسكويت:
– 100 جرام سكر بودرة
-200 جم زبدة مملحة طرية جدا
– 200 جرام دقيق (أو 300 جرام إذا قررت عدم استخدام النشا …)
– 100 جرام نشاء بطاطس
يُسخن الفرن على حرارة 180 درجة مئوية.
نضع الزبدة جدا طرية في وعاء كبير. أضف السكر البودرة.
خلط جيد.
أضف الدقيق ونشا البطاطس.
تخلط جيدا ولف العجين على شكل كرة.
ضع الكرة على ورقة من ورق الزبدة.
افردي العجينة حتى سمك 1 سم وجقص مستطيلات منتظمة بحجم 5 سم في 1.5. اثقب سطح المستطيلات برأس مقص حاد.
اخبز شورتبريدز 12-13 دقيقة. يجب أن تظل الكعك بيضاء. اتركيه ليجف على رف سلكي. قم بتخزين الكعك في حاوية محكمة الإغلاق.
