Me traje esta receta de Estados Unidos hace mucho tiempo y la comí dos veces: una vez allí en 1992, creo, y un año después en casa. Toda la familia había quedado tan asombrada de cómo se hacían estas golosinas que no había vuelto a hacerlas. Ya no tengo la receta a mano pero su sencillez me permitió volver a hacerla a la primera. De hecho, creo que se puede encontrar una receta equivalente en todos los paquetes de rice krispies de Estados Unidos. ¡Este es el que tenía que tener! Estas pequeñas cosas americanas no tienen ninguna pretensión, pero sobre todo son muy divertidas para los niños. Los padres probablemente te harán ojitos, pero tienes que admitir que te los comerás a escondidas.
Receta para un molde cuadrado de 20x20cm (16 piezas):
-50g de mantequilla semi-salada
-1/2 cucharadita de sal
-1 cucharadita de vainilla líquida
-200g de malvaviscos
-175g de rice krispies
Poner en una sartén la mantequilla semi-salada, la sal y la vainilla.
Cuando se haya derretido toda la mantequilla, añadir los 200 g de malvaviscos.
Deja que se derrita. Esta etapa es un poco… ¡especial!
Cuando todos los malvaviscos se hayan derretido, añade los rice krispies.
A continuación, mezclar con una cuchara.
Verter la mezcla en un molde cuadrado de 20X20cm forrado con papel de horno. Aplanar y alisar la superficie con el dorso de una cuchara. Para evitar que se pegue, ¡le pongo un poco de aceite!
A continuación, deje que cuaje durante una hora. Gire y retire el papel.
Cortar en 16 trozos.
Guardar en una caja hermética. De lo contrario, el azúcar de la superficie recogerá la humedad del ambiente.
