Un délicieux gâteau sans prétention et surtout d’une simplicité enfantine !! Cela fait des années que je vais régulièrement au Brésil et que je lorgne devant cette douceur aux carottes. Car oui il s’agit bien d’une gâteau aux carottes, sans colorant ! Rien à voir avec le fameux carrot cake (dont je vous donne la recette ICI). Avec un blender le tour est joué en quelques minutes à peine. J’ai fait 3 essais avant de trouver les proportions qui me plaisent. Tellement réconfortant avec un bon café au lait bien chaud ou une tasse de thé !
Pesez bien vos carottes épluchées et crues. On n’est pas non plus à 10 grammes près !
Coupez-les en gros morceaux et mettez-les dans un blender avec les œufs et l’huile.
Mixez longuement pour avoir une purée fine. Versez dans un récipient avec le sucre.
Mélangez bien et versez la farine d’un coup. Fouettez vigoureusement.
Ajoutez enfin la levure chimique. Fouettez de nouveau pour bien disperser cette dernière.
Versez dans un moule à manqué de 22cm de diamètre ou dans un moule avec un trou au milieu de 25cm. Il faut bien le graisser et le fariner.
Faites cuire le gâteau à 180°C pendant 40 minutes. Ajoutez au besoin 5 à 10 minutes de cuisson.
Démoulez-le délicatement sur une grille.
Vous pouvez vous arrêter là, mais pour les brésiliens, le chocolat n’est pas une option dans ce gâteau ! Versez le sucre et le cacao en poudre dans une petite casserole.
Mélangez bien puis versez l’huile et l’eau.
Portez à ébullition.
Laissez bouillir deux minutes.
Puis versez sur le gâteau.
Laissez reposer une semaine avant de déguster…MAIS NON !! Je blague ! À dévorer sans tarder !!
