Sopaipillas são bem conhecidas na América do Sul. Mas especialmente no Chile, onde são feitos com abóbora. São pequenos fritos feitos com este vegetal e são comidos com açúcar ou com uma salada de tomate e cebola, o que é muito comum na América Latina. Muito simples de fazer, as sopaipillas trarão cor e originalidade aos vossos aperitivos, ou se quiserem fazer como os chilenos, aos vossos pequenos-almoços, e ao longo do dia! Aqui ofereço-vos a versão saborosa , com a receita da salada de tomate, cebola e coentros.
Receita para “sopaipillas”:
Sopaipillas:
-500g de abóbora (pesada e descascada)
-500g de farinha
-3 colheres de sopa de óleo
-1/2 colher de chá de sal
-1 colher de chá de açúcar
-1 colher de chá de fermento em pó
Salada lateral:
-500g de tomate
-300g de cebolas
-1 ramo de coentros
-3 colheres de sopa de óleo (não de azeite!)
-1 colher de sopa de vinagre branco
-chilli ou tabasco
-sel
-frying oil
Comece por preparar a salada lateral, se optar por comer as sopaipillas numa “versão saborosa”.
Cortar os tomates em pequenos cubos.
Cortar as cebolas da mesma forma. Cortar o cacho de coentros.
Colocar dentro de um recipiente. Acrescentar o vinagre e o azeite.
Adicionar sal e piripiri picado ou tabasco.
Ponha a salada de lado num lugar fresco.
Preparar a abóbora.
Retirar a pele e cortar a abóbora em pedaços. Pesar a abóbora sem a pele!
Colocar no forno a 190°C durante uma boa hora, até que a abóbora esteja cozinhada.
Deve sair mais seco. Se caramelizar, é ainda melhor!
Colocar a abóbora cozida num liquidificador e fazer o puré.
Colocar o puré num recipiente. Acrescentar o óleo.
Adicionar o sal, o açúcar e o fermento em pó.
Misturar e adicionar a farinha. Adicionar gradualmente até a massa quase não ficar colada aos dedos.
Apenas a qualidade da abóbora determinará a quantidade de farinha a utilizar.
Deixar a massa a descansar no frigorífico durante uma hora em película plástica.
Depois deste tempo, retirar a massa e estendê-la sobre uma superfície de trabalho enfarinhada.
Corte de formas. As sopaipílas são geralmente redondas e por vezes acaneladas. É por isso que utilizo um molde de caneles como cortador de biscoitos.
Faça um buraco com uma lâmina de faca no meio para se agarrar à tradição! Caso contrário, este passo pode ser esquecido!
Preparar uma frigideira cheia de óleo pronta a fritar. Fritar as sopaipillas. São cozinhados quando vêm à superfície!
Tire-os da frigideira e deixe-os arrefecer ligeiramente sobre uma toalha de papel.
Desfrute como está ou com a salada de tomate e cebola!
