Lamento. Sem sequer me aperceber, acabei de carregar no detonador de uma bomba de calor potencialmente letal…! Está pronto para explodir, feche rapidamente esta página antes que toda aquela manteiga chegue e o faça sucumbir! Bem, é verdade que é rico, mas não é culpa minha que esteja a ficar frio! Eu tinha comido estes “bares caramelita” nos EUA, pela primeira vez em São Francisco. Sempre tive boas recordações destas pequenas coisas. Eis a minha versão dos factos: massa de aveia macia, mastigável, coberta com caramelo, nozes pecans, chocolate, e coberta com massa de aveia crocante. Uma bomba. Eu ter-vos-ia avisado!
Pré-aqueça o seu forno a 180°C. Misturar os ingredientes para a massa: a manteiga muito macia (ou derretida) e a vergôntea castanha.
Adicionar a farinha, bicarbonato de sódio e farinha de aveia.
Misturar rapidamente com uma espátula para obter uma pasta homogénea.
Colocar a massa numa lata quadrada de 21X21cm forrada com papel vegetal.
Aplanar ligeiramente a massa, mas não completamente.
Cozer no forno durante 15 minutos.
Verter o molho de caramelo, que derreterá num instante. Pode fazer o molho em casa com a minha receita AQUI, ou comprar um frasco de molho de caramelo.
Acrescentar as nozes pecã e as lascas de chocolate.
Aqui tomei alguns comprimidos de couverture de leite de caramelo de cacau Barry.
Preparar a massa estaladiça da mesma forma que a massa de base. Polvilhar sobre o todo, pedaços grandes como um esfarrapado.
Cozer novamente no forno durante 20-25 minutos. O topo deve ser ligeiramente acastanhado.
Cortar porções generosas. Bem ok, também se podem fazer mais pequenos, porque ainda é rico!
