Los Hobnobs son deliciosos pasteles de avena ingleses. Sólo datan de 1984 y están industrializados por McVities. Es una especie de «digestivo». Esta receta es muy parecida a estos pasteles, pero al final es mucho mejor. Para los amantes de la avena
Receta de «hobnobs» para unas 18 galletas:
-50g de harina
-50g de harina integral
-120g de avena
-130g de mantequilla salada
-50g de azúcar moreno
-30g de vergeoise rubia
1 cucharadita rasa de polvo de hornear
-1/2 cucharadita de bicarbonato de sodio
Precalentar el horno a 180°C. Comience por moler la avena hasta convertirla en un polvo muy grueso. Sólo hay que ponerlos en la batidora durante unos segundos.
Poner todos los ingredientes secos en un bol. Harina blanca e integral, copos de avena, azúcar moreno y vergeo, levadura en polvo y bicarbonato.
Mezclar bien.
Preparar la mantequilla con una consistencia cremosa. Lo puse en el microondas durante unos segundos.
Incorporarlo a la mezcla seca. Mezclar bien y hacer una bola con la masa.
Colocar la bola en un trozo de papel de horno y aplastarla con la palma de la mano. Poner un segundo papel de horno encima de la masa y extenderla con un rodillo hasta un grosor de 5 mm. Con este método de dos papeles, todo queda limpio, ¡incluso el rodillo!
Cortar 6 círculos de masa de centímetros. Yo utilizo un anillo de espuma de este tamaño, pero cualquier cosa sirve, ¡incluso un simple vaso!
Colocar los pasteles en una bandeja de horno forrada con papel de hornear. Con la masa restante, haz una bola y vuelve a extenderla, ¡hasta terminar la masa!
Hornear a 180°C durante unos 20 minutos, vigilando el tiempo de cocción. Los pasteles deben estar dorados. Con mi horno mal calentado tengo que cocinarlos durante casi 25 minutos, pero todo depende de la potencia, ¡aunque 180°C debería ser la misma temperatura en todos los hornos! Sacar del horno y enfriar sobre una rejilla.
¡Ganarán su crujiente! Si no se comen enseguida (¡espera a que se enfríen!) ponlos en una caja hermética (¡las cajas lock&lock son perfectas para esto!).
