Esta es una buena manera de prolongar el verano con este delicioso helado de leche de coco. Si alguna vez has estado en las Indias Occidentales, probablemente habrás probado este fabuloso helado. Suele elaborarse en la calle, en heladerías tradicionales de madera donde se añade hielo y sal gruesa. Esta receta es muy sencilla y aquí la hago con mi turbina! ¡En un minuto la preparación está hecha y veinte minutos después el helado está listo para ser comido! Usted puede añadir ralladura de lima, vainilla o nuez moscada al gusto. Lo prefiero al natural y en cuanto te metes una cuchara en la boca, ¡te derrites literalmente de placer!
Receta de helado de coco:
-500ml de leche de coco
-1 lata de leche condensada azucarada (Nestlé 397g)
-1 lata de leche condensada sin azúcar
coco deshidratado (opcional, yo no lo uso)
-Cáscara de lima, nuez moscada, vainilla líquida (todo ello opcional)
Vierte la leche de coco (necesitas una muy líquida ya que hay de todo tipo) en un recipiente. Añadir la leche condensada.
A continuación, añada la leche condensada sin azúcar. Mezclar bien: ¡está listo!
Verter en una heladera o en una máquina de hacer helados.
Si lo deseas (yo lo he probado pero prefiero el helado «natural»), puedes añadir un poco de ralladura de lima, vainilla, nuez moscada en polvo o un poco de todo…
Deja que la máquina haga todo el trabajo.
Cuando el helado esté listo, ponlo en un recipiente y guárdalo durante al menos dos horas en el congelador para que se endurezca más (para poder formar bolas después). Pero puedes comer el helado nada más salir de la máquina, ¡estará tan cremoso y líquido como quieras! Imprescindible.
Servir en conos o en un coco partido en dos.
Consejo de Bernard: para abrir un coco, basta con golpear suavemente con un martillo todo el contorno del coco (donde quieras que se abra). Después de 3-4 minutos de este tratamiento, el coco finalmente se abre…
