Cela fait des années que je donne des cours de cuisine thaïe, j’ai donc toujours dans mon placard les indispensables. Cette recette est prête en 15 minutes tout compris. Le résultat est très savoureux et le basilic thaï apporte son parfum inégalable à ce plat. Il est très difficile de s’arrêter de le manger une fois qu’on l’a goûté ! Parfait avec un riz nature.
Épluchez et coupez les oignons rouges en gros morceaux.
Enlevez la peau et désossez les hauts de cuisses, puis coupez-les en morceaux.
Dans un bol, mélangez le sucre, la sauce d’huitre, l’eau et la sauce ail piment. Je prends la sauce ail piment de la marque Lee Kum Kee que je trouve dans les épiceries asiatiques. Il y a sans doute d’autres marques. Mais l’avantage est que celle-ci n’est pas trop forte !
Tout est prêt ! Mettez les cacahuètes de cotés. Sur la photo je ne l’ai pas encore fait, mais enlevez les feuilles des tiges du basilic thaï.
Versez 6 bonnes cuillerées à soupe d’huile dans un wok (ou une large poêle) sur feu fort.
Laissez cuire 2-3 minutes pour que l’oignon se colore un peu ou devienne un peu translucide.
Ajoutez alors le poulet en morceaux. Mélangez bien, toujours sur feu fort.
Quand le poulet est saisi de toute part, ajoutez la sauce.
Mélangez bien et faites cuire 3-4 minutes. Faites attention à ce que le tout ne brûle pas ! Ajoutez alors les feuilles de basilic thaï et les cacahuètes.
Les feuilles vont fondre très vite !
Mélangez bien et laissez la sauce s’épaissir un peu. Servez immédiatement avec du riz nature.
