J’avais découvert lors d’un petit séjour à Vancouver, ces étonnants scones salés au cheddar et au brocoli. Servis tièdes, je ne peux pas m’arrêter des les dévorer… Ils avaient exactement cette allure : un peu déstructurée et imparfaite. C’est ce qui m’a tout de suite fait craquer d’ailleurs, car cela donne un petit côté fait maison. Ils ont tout à fait leur place lors d’un pique-nique ou pour un apéritif.
Faites tout d’abord cuire le brocoli 8 minutes à la vapeur.
Pendant ce temps, mettez dans la cuve de votre robot ou dans un récipient, la farine, le beurre coupé en petits morceaux, le sel, le poivre, le sucre et la levure chimique.
Mélangez avec la feuille ou du bout des doigts pour rendre le tout sableux.
Voici le cheddar et le lait fermenté. On en trouve maintenant partout en supermarché.
Coupez le cheddar en petits cubes.
Quand le mélange est sableux, ajoutez le cheddar, le brocoli.
Mélangez deux trois secondes puis versez le lait fermenté.
Pesez des boulettes de 85g et posez-les sur une plaque garnie de papier sulfurisé. Pour un apéritif, vous pourrez les faire plus petits et les cuire moins longtemps !
Faites des boules un peu déstructurées.
Faites cuire 30 minutes à 185°C en adaptant la cuisson à votre propre four.
Dégustez-les tièdes ! Vous pourrez au besoin les réchauffer au four.
