Il y a plus de 7 ans, je vous avais proposé le hoummos traditionnel (recette ICI). Cette fois, je fais une petite variation, car je mange du hoummos presque toutes les semaines à la maison. Avec du poivron rouge, du parpika, du piment et un soupçon de miel, ce hoummos est un délice qui change un peu et apporte de la couleur sur la table. Prêt en quelques minutes, il se dégustera avec du pain grillé.
Placez les pois chiches égouttés et les poivrons dans le bol de votre mixeur. Je fais cette fois entorse à la tradition et je mets tout dans le mixeur, car de cette façon, le hoummos est prêt en 3 minutes…Note de Bernard : pour cette recette expresse, je prends des pois chiches en boite ou en bocal. Vous trouverez aussi facilement des poivrons grillés en bocal. Cela conviendra parfaitement ici.
Ajoutez le tahiné, l’ail, l’huile d’olive, le jus de citron et le miel.
Mixez jusqu’à obtenir une crème onctueuse. Ajoutez le paprika.
J’ai utilisé une purée de piment que j’avais au frais. Mais n’hésitez pas à utiliser du piment fort en poudre ou même de la harissa.
Mettez-en un peu (au besoin vous en rajouterez) et salez à votre goût.
Mixez une dernière fois.
Versez le hoummos de poivron rouge dans des bols, puis arrosez d’huile d’olive et parsemez d’un peu de paprika.
