Bourratif à souhait, le flapjack vient d’Angleterre. Il est à base de sirop de glucose caramélisé, le « golden syrup » que l’on trouve dans certains magasins comme carrefour, dans les rayons « produits du monde ».Cette recette s’adresse aux inconditionnels comme moi de ce gâteau. C’est la seule recette dans laquelle j’utilise de la margarine au lieu du beurre, mais la magie du flajack prend corps avec elle!
Faire fondre sur feu doux dans une casserole, la margarine avec le sucre roux et le sirop.
Bien mélanger.Enlever la casserole du feu puis ajouter les flocons d’avoine.
Prendre un moule à cake de 23×7 cm (mesuré à la base), le graisser avec la bombe dont je parle dans ma recette des canelés.Verser la préparation dans le moule, et bien répartir.
Avec le dos d’une cuiller, aplatir et aplanir au maximum en pressant bien. Mettre au four pour 20 à 25 minutes. Laisser reposer ensuite pendant 20 minutes puis démouler.Il faut laisser les flapjacks refroidir avant de les couper. Avec cette recette dans un moule à cake, on peut le couper en six belles parts!
