Voici une recette rapide et simple, pour un dal de lentilles corail au lait de coco et épices. On pourra obtenir la consistance que l’on préfère : plus ou moins onctueux, plus ou moins liquide. En trente minutes, le tout est fait. La noix de coco adoucit les épices (qui dit épices ne dit pas forcément piment). Tout se trouve sans aucun problème dans les supermarchés à côté de chez vous ! Alors, hop ! Tous aux fourneaux !
Mettre une grande quantité d’eau salée à bouillir puis cuire les lentilles corail pendant 20 minutes.
Les lentilles vont se défaire, c’est normal !
Éplucher les tomates, les couper en morceaux, ainsi que l’oignon.
Quand les lentilles sont cuites, les laisser s’égoutter.
Mettre l’huile dans une casserole sur feu assez fort, ajouter l’ail écrasé, les tomates et l’oignon.
Quand les tomates fondent un peu, ajouter un peu d’eau pour éviter que le fond ne brûle puis ajouter les épices : gingembre, cumin en poudre le bâton de cannelle…
Piment, curcuma, cumin en poudre, paprika.
Ajouter les lentilles et bien mélanger.
Ajouter le lait de coco.
Ajouter également le sel, le poivre et la noix de coco râpée.
C’est prêt ! Il n’y a plus qu’à laisser cuire jusqu’à la consistance désirée: plus onctueux ou alors plus liquide (il suffit pour cela d’ajouter de l’eau).
