Vous avez sans doute remarqué que je poste un peu moins que d’habitude. Il y a plusieurs raisons à cela. Tout d’abord il y a eu le nouveau design du blog qui a demandé des ajustements (il y en aura d’autres). Je travaille aussi sur mon nouveau livre dont je parlerai bientôt ! Et le plus important: je travaille sur mon projet d’atelier qui me permettra dès septembre de faire plus de recettes sur le blog et enfin plus de cours variés et réguliers. Je viens de signer pour un lieu qui je l’espère plaira beaucoup et où je pourrais faire plein d’essais culinaires ! Je vous propose donc une recette facile, rapide à préparer. Je voulais une ode au sucre et au beurre salé (sans la musique). Mais je voulais aussi retrouver le goût du golden syrup, un ingrédient que l’on trouve aujourd’hui très facilement. Ce cake est volontairement doux et riche. Avec du sucre de canne et du beurre demi sel, il a pour moi un côté réconfortant. Vous pourrez enlever un peu de sucre, mais c’est ici ce que je souhaitais: un cake qui donne l’impression d’un caramel transformé en gâteau…
Je fais ici mon cake dans un tout petit moule car il est assez riche. Libre à vous de doubler les proportions pour un moule normal. Placez le sucre de canne, le beurre salé, le sel et le golden syrup dans une casserole sur feu doux.
Portez à ébullition, puis laissez tiédir hors du feu pour que le sucre ait le temps de fondre.
Mélangez la farine et la levure chimique. Versez le liquide tout en mélangeant.
Ajoutez l’œuf et hop mélangez de nouveau.
Versez dans un moule garni de papier sulfurisé.
Faites cuire 30 minutes à 170°C. Adaptez la cuisson à votre four, il doit être bien doré et ne plus trop trembloter au centre. La consistance est très étonnante et il gonfle beaucoup.
