  • Desembrulhe o halloumi e corte-o em três fatias grossas.
  • Passe cada fatia na farinha de trigo dos dois lados. Retire o excesso e mergulhe no leite fermentado. Retire o excesso e coloque em um recipiente com os flocos de aveia.
  • Polvilhe com flocos para cobrir toda a superfície das fatias de queijo. Deixe descansar nos flocos por 5 minutos, enquanto você aquece o óleo em uma panela pequena.
  • Quando o óleo estiver quente, em torno de 180°C, mergulhe as fatias uma a uma até que fiquem douradas. Escorra em papel absorvente.
  • Adicione sal e pimenta a gosto e sirva com mel e fatias de limão a gosto.

Fiz recentemente scones para o pequeno-almoço, desta vez com laranja e arandos. São amanteigados, pobres em açúcar e estaladiços no exterior, ricos e arejados no interior. Os sabores da casca da laranja e da manteiga combinam maravilhosamente com a suavidade dos arandos. Lembre-se apenas de colocar a manteiga no congelador um pouco mais cedo para que os scones sejam tão bons quanto possível!

Ah, os camarões empanados! Adoro-os especialmente com o maravilhoso molho de tártaro. É um pouco maquiavélico, já agora, porque se come um, depois dois, e não se pode parar de todo! Então porquê pankoco? Porque eu fiz uma mistura de panko, o famoso pão ralado japonês, e coco seco desfiado. Verão que utilizo leite fermentado (novamente!) para embrulhar os camarões antes de os atirar para o pão ralado e esse é o verdadeiro truque para esta receita. O lado muito envolvente dá uma camada estaladiça de donut. Teste-o em casa o mais depressa possível! Também se pode fazer esta receita com peixe...

Scones feta espinafres pesto e azeitonas pretas

Recentemente dei-vos uma receita de brócolos salgados e cheddar scones. Eles foram um sucesso com os meus amigos e eu queria fazer uma segunda versão antes do Verão, pois são perfeitos para um piquenique ou buffet. Desta vez estão com pesto, feta, rebentos de espinafres e azeitonas pretas. Um petisco perfeito com um pequeno copo de vinho tinto para um aperitivo colorido!
