Qatayef, ou atayef (não confundir com ktayef, uma massa feita de pêlo de anjo) é uma deliciosa panqueca recheada com creme de astália com água de rosas e flores de laranjeira e pistácios tostados esmagados. Tudo isto é servido com um xarope perfumado e resulta num teor de açúcar muito baixo. Esta pastelaria encontra-se no Líbano, mas também no Egipto e em outros países do Levante.
