O bolo bretão é, como seria de esperar, feito de manteiga com sal! Mantém-se por muito tempo. A história deste bolo é bastante pouco clara, mas os livros de cozinha mencionam-na a partir da segunda metade do século XIX. Em qualquer caso, é fácil de fazer e todos vão adorar!
Receita de “bolo bretão” para 8 pessoas:
-8 gemas de ovo (1 para dourar o bolo) -450 g de farinha -280 g de açúcar pilão a ponta de uma faca fermento em pó -320 g de manteiga, meio sal
Pré-aquecer o forno a 220°C. Misturar as gemas e o açúcar sem branquear numa tigela.
Adicionar a manteiga amolecida e misturar bem. O resultado é uma mistura cremosa.
Adicionar a farinha com a ponta de uma faca de fermento em pó (é realmente uma pequena quantidade de fermento que impedirá o bolo de ser um bloco compacto!!).
Manteiga e farinha uma forma de mola de 22cm de diâmetro. Colocar a massa na forma à mão e pincelá-la com gema de ovo. A gema é então ligeiramente diluída com uma escova mergulhada em leite. Depois fazer cruzes com um garfo.
Colocar no forno a 220°C durante 20 minutos, depois baixar o forno para 180°C durante mais 35 minutos. Retirar do forno e deixar arrefecer sobre um suporte.
Deve saber que, na Bretanha, o bolo bretão é comido cortado em diamantes!
