\nOn one of my trips to Bangkok I learned how to cook this delicious starter. A fried rice cake, therefore very crispy, topped with a filling that reminds a lot of satay sauce, but with shrimps and pork inside. The contrast between the crispness of the rice and the creaminess of this sweet and spicy sauce is really successful! To be tried urgently. <\/p>\n

<\/a>To find the rice cakes, go to the 13th district of Paris. I had a hard time finding them at Tang, but no problem at Paris Store! That’s it for the info! Here they are: <\/div>\n

\nRecipe for 2 people:<\/p>\n

-6 dry rice cakes<\/span><\/strong>
\n20g raw shrimp, peeled, chopped<\/span><\/strong>
\n15g of chopped pork loin <\/span><\/strong>
\n-115ml of coconut cream<\/span><\/strong>
\n-a root of coriander<\/span><\/strong>
\nhalf a clove of garlic<\/span><\/strong>
\n-7 white peppercorns<\/span><\/strong>
\n-25g of brown sugar<\/span><\/strong>
\n-one teaspoon of nuoc nam<\/span><\/strong>
\n-one tablespoon of tamarind pulp<\/span><\/strong>
\n-half a teaspoon of red curry paste<\/span><\/strong>
\n-35g unsalted roasted peanuts, coarsely ground<\/span><\/strong>
\n-a few coriander leaves<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\nFor those of you who are wondering what a coriander root looks like, well here it is:<\/em><\/p>\n

\nStart by crushing the peanuts.<\/em><\/p>\n

Crush the pepper, coriander root and garlic in a mortar and pestle to a paste.<\/em><\/div>\n

Add this paste to the shrimps and to the pork and mix well.<\/em><\/p>\n

\nIn a saucepan, boil the coconut cream over low heat.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Add the shrimp\/pork mixture, mix well and then add the sugar, nuoc nam and tamarind pulp. <\/em><\/p>\n

\nBoil until the sauce thickens, then add the red curry paste.<\/em><\/p>\n
\n $\"Khao$ <\/a><\/div>\n

\nAdd the peanuts and cook until a thick sauce is obtained. Remove from fire.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

In a wok or saucepan, heat oil. <\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

When the oil is hot (you can see this by dipping a chopstick in the oil, when bubbles appear on the end of the chopstick, the oil is hot!)<\/em><\/p>\n

Fry patties for one minute, or until golden brown. <\/em><\/p>\n
