They are delicious and very rich little bombs. They can be eaten while still warm and despite their similarity to past\u00e9is de nata (my recipe <a href=\"https:\/\/stagingapp15670.cloudwayssites.com\/2014\/12\/les-pasteis-de-nata.html\">HERE<\/a>), the taste is quite different. They apparently come to us from Japan and have become very popular in Southeast Asia recently. There are two types, a firmer one that is eaten cold and this one that is eaten hot and creamier. The dough must be blond, not too golden, because we cook it again.
