So I tried to make this recipe again and came up with this result. These mini-tatins will become a classic for me because they were simply delicious! A perfect recipe if there is too much foie gras after the holidays, or for&nbsp;to accommodate it in an original way. I cook the apples in the fat of the foie gras (the yellow fat) with spices and then they are flamb\u00e9ed with calvados before slowly caramelizing before&nbsp;finding&nbsp;their place on a soft slice of semi-cooked foie gras!&nbsp;<\/div>\n<p>\n<a name=\"more\"><\/a>Recipe for Foie Gras Tatins:<\/p>\n<p><b><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"\">-4 slices of <a href=\"http:\/\/lesrecettesdebernard.blogspot.com\/2010\/05\/le-pain-depices.html\">gingerbread<\/a><\/span><\/b><br \/>\n<b><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"\">-4 slices of <a href=\"http:\/\/lesrecettesdebernard.blogspot.com\/2010\/12\/le-foie-gras-troisi%C3%A8me-m%C3%A9thode.html\">foie gras<\/a> (keep the yellow fat on top)<\/span><\/b><br \/>\n<b><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"\">-3 or 4 apples&nbsp;<\/span><\/b><br \/>\n<b><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"\">2-3 good pinches of 4-spice blend<\/span><\/b><br \/>\n<b><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"\">-1\/2 glass of cognac or calvados<\/span><\/b><br \/>\n<b><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"\">-10g of sugar<\/span><\/b><br \/>\n<b><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"\">-salt pepper<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<div id=\"adikteev_ad\">\n<\/div>\n<p><i>Cut not too thick slices of gingerbread.
