Poke bowl

Right now, you may notice, but I'm posting less. I am in the middle of writing my next book, which will be published in November by Flammarion, and which I have had in mind for 6 years. I look forward to telling you more in due course. For once, I'm not being hyper traditional, as I'm putting together a poke bowl that is more modern than the original Hawaiian poke that has almost only fish, rice and very rich sauce. Here, lots of good stuff: avocado, coriander, sesame seeds, edamame and mango, all on rice either dressed with vinegar or toasted sesame oil. I prefer this last version. A little nod to my friend Gaëlle with whom I have made this dish many times! This dish is delicious and takes less than 20 minutes to make!

Fried rice with chicken, peanuts and coriander

Here is a quick recipe! I made it during a facebook live during the lockdown with what I had on hand. The result is a delight with peanuts, cilantro and moist chicken. Just remember to cook the rice the day before and let it sit in the fridge overnight so that it comes apart nicely. You can adapt with what you have at hand!

Kale, edamame and avocado salad

Looking for a nice salad and some green on your plate? I suggest my kale salad with edamame, avocado and pecans. I had eaten a similar one in New York and couldn't wait to make it again. Here I make a delicious sauce with olive oil, balsamic vinegar, tahini and a sweet touch of agave syrup. It is therefore suitable for vegans. But above all it is a salad that will make a real meal. There's a lot of talk about kale, and I hope it's not just a fad, because I find it very hearty and filling. I had made you some ultra crispy kale chips in my Vegemite book that I also featured on video in a facebook live on October 11, 2017 that you can find HERE.
